Review Nubia Z17 Lite

In the end of August 2017, the Nubia brand released a new model of smartphone - Z17 Lite. This is a lite version of the flagship smartphone Nubia Z17. In comparison with that model, the main camera, chipset and memory are different, more accurate - weaker. Let’s begin our review!

Design

Z17 Lite looks very elegant. Matte black body and gold finish give the device a nice look. Matte body, of course is beautiful, but it causes problems when using the phone: the worst one is slippery back panel.

Tip: if you decide to buy the device - you should immediately buy a suitable case.

Bezel-less display fill the front panels of mobile devices of most manufacturers, and although some of them just follow a new trend, it look amazing on Z17 Lite. Despite the fact that the smartphone has a large panel under the screen for navigation buttons, they look good, especially the "Home" button that lights up red and has a form of a circle. The other two navigation buttons are not highlighted. It may seem that they simply do not exist.

On top of the front panel are camera and a speaker.

On the sides of the phone, the power and volume buttons are on the right, and SIM card tray on the left.

There's no headphone jack, so you'll need to use an adapter that plugs into the USB Port-C, located at the bottom of the device between two speaker grilles.

On top, there is only a noise-canceling microphone.

On the back panel is a fingerprint scanner and a dual camera in the upper left corner and next it is a flashlight.

Our system gave 8,27 points for the design of the device. 

Display

The smartphone has a 5.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Due to its density of 403 ppi,  the phone produces clear images. The viewing angles of this device are very good, and the color space is quite natural.

The display received 8,49 points.

Hardware

Nubia Z17 Lite can boast of a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 653  which will be based on four cores of Cortex-A73 (up to 2 GHz) and four of Cortex-A53 (up to 1,4 GHz). Graphics - Adreno 510. The device comes with 6 GB RAM and 64 GB ROM. It should be noted that there is no way to increase the ROM space for system and other files. In terms of performance, the device works fine. When you start games, the device may get slightly warm, but it will not be overheated.

Camera

ZTE Nubia Z17 Lite is equipped with a dual rear camera (13 MP main camera + 13 MP secondary). Images made on this phone have exceptional sharpness; color is transferred to the photos as accurately as possible. Focusing is very fast with a minimum response time.

The front facing camera is 16 MP and has aperture of f / 2.0.

The cameras of the smartphone received 9,76 points.

Battery

ZTE Nubia Z17 Lite has a battery with capacity of 3200 mAh. It takes less than two hours to charge it. The average time of use without charge is 24 hours.

A for battery, the system gave it 7 points. 

OS

Nubia Z17 lite runs on Android 7.1 with the original user interface UI 5.0. In general, it looks very cool and fits the smartphone itself. Here you can find new icons, animation effects and much more.

The OS of the device received 8,39 points. 

Conclusion

ZTE Nubia Z17 Lite is not a premium model but the device is got for its perfect  design. As for other specs, such as hardware and performance, there have been no particular problems in use. This device is recommended to buy!
