Design
The Xenium X598 body is made of plastic and metal (plastic body and metal frames) with two antenna lines at the back.
The front panel of the device is somewhat reminiscent of the Samsung Galaxy S2 model. This is all because of the “Home” button. It has the same style as the phone from Samsung. In general, the front panel is very modest and has large bezels, which seems a bit strange because of the popularity of bezel-less displays. On the top bezel, there is a receiver and a front camera, as well as sensors. On the bottom bezel, there is a “Home” button. It also used as a fingerprint scanner.
On the back are two cameras and an LED flashlight between them. Below the cameras is the brand logo. Inscription is made in white.
On the right side, there are power button and volume rocker.
On the left - a tray for two nano SIM cards and a separate place for a SD/TF card.
At the very top of the smartphone, manufacturers have placed the audio jack and a noise-canceling microphone.
At the bottom are fashionable USB Type-C port and the speaker.
The thickness of the device is 9.4 mm and the weight is 0,167 kg. It comes exclusively in black. Manufacturers say nothing about other colors.
Our system gave the device the design 4,27 points.
Display
The smartphone comes with a 5-inch FHD IPS LCD display. The screen has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a density of 400.53 pixels per inch. The aspect ratio is 16: 9 and screen to the body ratio is 70.47%.
The screen received 6,44 points in the system.
Hardware
The device uses the MT6750 chip from MediaTek (this is an eight-core processor with a clock speed of 1.5 GHz). It comes with an ARM Mali-T860 MP2 graphics, which operates at a clock frequency of 520 MHz. The smartphone should be easy to cope with multitasking thanks to 4 GB RAM. As for internal storage, the developers installed 64 GB.
Performance received a mark of 6,32 points. Thr Antutu tests showed 54,162 points.
Camera
The smartphone has a dual rear camera. The main camera comes with a resolution of 13 MP and the secondary camera with 5 MP.
Manufacturers have not forgotten about selfie lovers and installed in the device 13 MP sensor.
The system rated cameras at 6,78 points.
Battery
The Philips Xenium X598 smartphone is equipped with a 4000 mAh non-removable lithium polymer battery with fast charging function.
The battery received 7,98 points.
Android
The device works on the operating system Android 7.0 Nougat. It is confusing, because modern smartphones work on the new Android 8.1 Oreo.
OS received a mark of 6,58 points.
Conclusion
A smartphone is a good option for people who like to surf the Net and listen to music. It is good option for 140 bucks.
