UMIDIGI is one of the few Chinese companies that has recently made a significant step forward. A few years ago, its smartphones did not stand out from competitors, who focused on cheapness, but not on product quality. However, in 2017, successful models UMIDIGI S2 and UMIDIGI S2 Lite were released, which showed that this company is capable of more.
More recently, The UMIDIGI released two models at once – One and One Pro. We will talk about the first option in today's review. In our system, the device received a mark of 9,34 points.
Package
The package includes the phablet, a silicone case, USB cable, a SIM needle, and documentation.
Design
At first glance, it may seem that the case of the Umidigi One is made of plastic, but it is metal. The back panel is equipped with a dual camera in a vertical position in the upper left corner, LED flashlight underneath the camera, and the logo of the company, which is located at the bottom of the device.
The front panel is equipped with a large display and a notch, like on Iphone X. The manufacturer has built-in a front camera, speaker, an LED notification light, and standard sensors into the notch.
On the right side of the UMIDIGI One are located the volume and power buttons, where the power button also performs the function of unlocking the device by fingerprint. It has a built-in fingerprint scanner.
On the left side is a hybrid port for two SIM cards. The slot for the second SIM card supports a microSD memory card of up to 256 GB.

This resolution forms a pixel density of 287 ppi. The aspect ratio in the device is 19:9, and screen-to-body ratio is 90%. Due to the notch on top, the body has the size of a 5.2-inch phone, which will allow you to safely and comfortably use the device with one hand.

The UMIDIGI One uses Helio P23 chipset which feature octa–core Cortex-A53 cores working at 2.3GHz. The Mali G71 MP2 graphics adapter operates at 770 MHz. Its capacity is enough not only for watching video and playing small games, but also for modern three-dimensional games. Graphics adapter supports API OpenGL ES 3.1, OpenCL 1.1, DirectX 11.1.
This smartphone can also be useful for gamers. Helio P23 is not good option, but its speed in combination with a small screen resolution still allows you to run almost any mobile game. In order to find pleasure of playing games, you will have to use medium graphics settings.
The phone has 4 GB RAM LPDDR3 and 32 GB ROM. This configuration provides smooth functioning of the operating system and applications, and provides enough space for storing user data.

OS
The smartphone can boast of a completely pure version of Android 8.1 Oreo. There is a minimum set of Google software, including Google Maps, YouTube, Google Photos, Chrome. All other software have to be installed independently from the Google Play application catalog.
