Easy to root/install custom roms on (CM12s is absolutely fantastic), which was really important to me. Absolutely love the feel of the phone too, the "sandstone" back just feels incredible to hold. The equalizer settings also yield the best sound I've ever heard from a phone (coming from a serial phone updater haha). And while the camera is perhaps not the best in the business, it has some great modes included and raw capture is great for anyone with knowledge of Photoshop Lightroom.
