AGM A8 - Comments

Advantages: My experiences with this phone are amazing. The phone is very sturdy as well as the screen I get 3G speeds on At&t in the United States, but it works well enough with the following apps for my listening needs: iheart, Soundcloud, and TuneIn. Having a FM radio is a plus when I want to listen to local stations and conserve data. I love the fact that developer mode is enabled and customs ROMs can be installed(even though it voids the warranty). I am considering buying another A8 so I can install a custom android ROM in this phone in the future. The stock ROM for this phone is available at AGM's website. Interesting thing is that google will flag the Outdoors Tool app on this phone as malicious for being able to track you even though all Google apps do the same. I highly recommend this phone for people who want a sturdy phone that can be customized(Since I prefer Bing over Google).

Limitations: I do advise getting a screen protector since the screen is prone to light scratches if one is too careless such as myself.

Advantages: It's hard to find good rugged outdoor phones. There are many china phones that promise a good outdoor usage. In my experience, there's a lot of trash on the market and you need a long time to find a good one. There are often problems with GPS signal quality, or with the material quality. After using this phone for some weeks I'm still very happy with the phone and in my opinion it's the best on the market: It has two perfect quality cameras, the screen is bright enough also in sunlight, the processor is fast and you get a GPS signal immediately. Battery duration lasts about 2 days at normal usage - perfect! Support: On the AGM homepage you find the latest ROMS (that's a great service) and there's no trash preinstalled (very reliable).

Advantages: Great value for Money. I've already confirmed with tests, that this phoneis Shock resistant and waterproof. Impressive build quality! Huge 4100 mha battery!

Limitations: The phone is heavy and big.
