OK, but should have bought the X5UC instead
Advantages: Very stable quad. Altitude hold works okay. On low speed, very controllable. On high speeds, quicker, but not terribly nimble. Video quality acceptable for the price, once "jello" effect is fixed as described below.
Limitations: On high speed, not quite fast enough to fight medium winds, so ground that quadcopter! Camera is not securely attached to the body, with lots of vibration between the camera and body. This leads to a "jello" effect. With padding between the two, to hold the camera securely, the footage is much improved. The camera needs a better, vibration-free mount. FPV mode is basically useless. Video lag is too slow to fly in FPV mode & when FPV is on, it shortens the control distance to about 20-30m, with the video feed breaking up at about 15m. (Without FPV, control distance is at least 60m.) Therefore, I fly almost exclusively without FPV. And, therefore, it would have been much better to get the X5UC version of this quad, at about $20 cheaper, with cheaper extra batteries & replacement parts. (If you look up online reviews, I suspect most reviewers have been given their units for free, so do not give an unbiased opinion on this.)
