Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 - Comments

Advantages: First the screen is a nice 5.99-inch 1080p full screen display with great viewing angles and a crisp picture. Second, the speakers sound full and rich with a decent amount of bass. Third, the rear facing camera is a dual 12 mp shooter with flash which takes very detailed pictures and the front-facing camera is a 5 mp which takes some pretty good selfies. Fourth the processor is quick and snappy.

Advantages: Took a little over 2 weeks to arrive to London, UK if anyone is wondering. Shipped via belgium registered. Phone in itself is beautiful, spec sheet speaks for itself, the case that comes with it has design in mind so would strongly advise purchasing a case to go with it for some added protection. Gearbest were great in that they included a UK adapter free of charge as the plug supplied is designed for Asia. MIUI 8 comes preloaded but all applications are uninstallable nothing like the phones you get in the UK where you're stuck with bloatware unless you flash therefore voiding warranty. Google play is not on the phone originally but is easy enough to find and install - then it's just a matter of linking your account up and reinstalling apps and getting your contacts back etc.

Limitations: The phone allows you to choose the English language but many of the apps and interface is in Chinese as long as you are patient and know how to navigate around most android phones, you won't have a problem setting this up. It comes loaded with MIUI 8 as far as I'm aware there is a 9 out but phone hasn't prompted an update just yet... Google play is not on the phone originally - but is easy enough to find and install (this is only a con because I'm used to it being on there, I understand that if I was in Asia this is standard) Ease of use rating loses a star because of the Chinese language still very much being present which I know will frustrate some people Usefulness Rating loses a star because apps on the phone that are in Chinese that have no way to change the language they're displayed in, become redundant.

Advantages: The best smartphone i ever had. Just take a look at the technical description, that's all you need to know before buying this product. The screen is not amoled, but, to be honest, it looks good with IPS.

Limitations: English and Chinese rom for the moment, but the MIUI community is here helping flashing another rom.

Advantages: - Excellent quality made : glass, allumium amd ceramic - Most powerful processor for Android smarphone Snapdragon 835 and 6 Gb of ram - 64/128/256 GB memory size availability - Good rear camera but not at the same level of other flagship smartphone - Miui make the difference than Andriod Os stock - Battery optimization and Quickcharge 3.0

Limitations: - for most "non" chinese users you might want to install google play store first (easy for me but not for everyone) - you have to change the settings in the downloads app to be able to download more than 1 Megabyte over mobile data - music player is nice but could have some more options for your local stored music (should look more like samsung music "my opinion")

Conclusions: high quality phone overall apps running fast and no lag. I had MiMix from last year still running fast. I bought this Mi Mix 2 for upgrade new phone. It never have slow down like Samsung and Iphones. Thank you Xiaomi

Conclusions: What a device! The case was included. The case is simple but durable. The phone itself is a beauty. good service with delivery.

Conclusions: After the mi mix, this phone has not the shock and awe, but is an evolution. But that is not a disqualificaiton. It's a very fine and quick phone that easily checks all the standards of a flag ship phone. The screen is very good, the hardware top notch, the build quality is excellent. The camera is good, but as good as the Samsung S8 which is the reference (so, that is not a shame :-)). Overall I'm very satisfied with it.
