JXD 509g - Comments

Conclusions: This is a most impressive drone for the money. I am new to this hobby and my flying skills reflect it...I have crashed into the side of a cinder block building, cut power and fallen onto a tennis court, and also fallen from an extreme height (it was just a black dot in the sky) onto a grassy soccer field, knocked it out of trees with a softball (twice)...And it Just Keeps on Flying!!! Seriously, there are nicks and scratches but everything still works, clear image on the monitor, records video just fine and flys great! Note: Pay attention to the wind, how far away you fly, and your depth perception... Trees will reach out and grab you! Great Product.

Conclusions: This JXD 509G 5.8G FPV Drone with 2.0MP HD Real-time Aerial Camera, High Hold Mode Headless Mode One Key Return RC Quadcopter is absolutely incredible for the price! Similar drones that I've seen elsewhere cost 3 times as much for the same or similar quality and functionality. There's just so much included in this, the photos that this drone can take are very clear considering the circumstances and this is overall a fantastic drone. I have high praises and hopes for this device!

Conclusions: It looks cool, it flies VERY well, and I love the headless mode and the hover on this quad. I have the Syma X5. It is a good copter but this one is amazing. It may be a little bit more expensive then the Syma but it's worth the money.

Conclusions: This is a great quad for a beginner to intermediate pilot. The barometer function is spectacular and really works. Takes amazingly good videos for the camera that it has and has no Jell-O. It is not extremely fast but is very maneuverable and FPV works surprisingly well. It is identical to the Yuneek 500 but about 10 times smaller.

Advantages: The drone JXD 509G is good drone for FPV beginners. The live video transmission is very good with the 4inch LCD monitor and 5.8GHz . With the 2 megapixel camera you can shot nice videos from 100 meters in height. But for longer fun you need a second battery.

Limitations: two batteries for longer flight time.

Advantages: This is by far the sweetest Quadcopter i have purchased yet,I have several different drones,Quads and Hexacopters and regular ,Helocpters as i am an avid flyer and this one is on the top of my list,it is a slower mover in the air which makes it a super video drone,and the hold in place feature works just like a GPS and makes for some incredable filming,and at this price this just can not be beat

Advantages: Very durable, easier to fly than most in this price range, head turning design, still maneuverable even in windy conditions. This beautiful, well made quad is a great starter drone for anyone. Easy to fly thanks to the height hold function even in windy conditions. Camera is decent and screen is ok, controller is appropriately sensitive and propellers and the quad itself are very durable. I have had many high speed crashes and no significant damage has been done

Limitations: Lights could be a little brighter, screen requires screwdriver to attach and detach from controller, switching propeller blades is not easy.

The gearbest extra 5 pack 800mah batteries with charger are also reported to be a great buy and good quality and all for $11 wow. there are some great fixes and upgrades to this drone on the rcgroups.com forums including adding bigger batteries and motors. 2MP 720p HD camera. Headless mode and one key return features

It flies quite well in no wind conditions and flying at dusk is a blast with the lights on you can see it quite well. The controller has FPV and is pretty good with a decent camera attached and includes a miniature SD card.

Limitations: Overall a good beginner purchase, but some drawbacks are that the battery life seems pretty low with @ 6 min flying time and minimum 1 hr to recharge. The landing gear is flexible, but broke one skid after only 3 rd flight with a hard landing. Good news is that the parts can easily be replaced. I fixed it with superglue and seems ready to go.
