Excellent phone.
Advantages: Excellent phone. Nearly everything I wanted at a price that was less than expected. It can read ape and flac lossless files as well as the obvious mp3 and waveform. It can take a 128 gig microSD card, so I have a touch screen mp3 player with a huge capacity at a fraction of the cost of an iPod. It has a built-in FM radio. Yes, I know you can download radios from Google Play, but they are plagued with adverts. Nice camera, a good-sized battery. Alarm clock, timer, calculator and torch. Android 7 is an improvement. 16 gig built-in storage is plenty for me. It holds my favourite Android song backing programme - Easyband, a guitar tuner, Sudoku, spirit level and offline maps. I can't think of anything else I want in a phone (except for the cons, which are minor problems when you consider the price)
Limitations: The charging socket (micro USB) is on the top. I wanted to use this phone in a charging dock at night, doubling as a night clock. This is not possible because a) clocks will display upright or sideways but not upside down b) When the phone is fully charged a bright white notice appears telling you that charging has finished. The notice lights up the bedroom and stops you from reading the time. There is no notification light. This means that you don't know if you have missed a call or if you have texts to read. Also, since no light comes on to show charging, no light goes out when charging has finished. The lack of a little light means that you are constantly switching the screen on to see if the charge has finished or if you missed a call whilst you were out of the room for a moment.
